MyºÚÁÏÍø is a self-service, online portal that all students can access. You can view your personal information (e.g., phone number, address, emergency contact info), academic record (e.g., test scores & grades), finances (e.g., outstanding balances) and much, much more! Login to MyºÚÁÏÍø via the university's , then click on the MyºÚÁÏÍø icon. If you have any issues accessing Single Sign On or MyºÚÁÏÍø, contact the Technology Help Desk at 562.985.4959 or helpdesk@csulb.edu.
is often called a variety of names by the campus community like ºÚÁÏÍø email, Outlook, and student email. Your ºÚÁÏÍø email account is your official university email account where messages are sent from the university regarding upcoming deadlines and important announcements along with information from your faculty members and reminders from your assigned advising center. The university transitions to sending messages exclusively to your Student Email account 5-7 business days after you have accepted your offer of admission.
Access your ºÚÁÏÍø email account by logging in to using your ºÚÁÏÍø credentials and password. Then locate and click on the Outlook chiclet.
SOAR Confirmation will be emailed within two weeks of making your reservation.
Didn't receive a SOAR Confirmation? Please check both your personal email AND accounts. Check your Junk Folder as sometimes it is accidentally re-directed to this folder.
An additional reminder will be sent to your account approximately 2 days prior to your scheduled SOAR date with essential details including parking information and check-in location.
Still cannot find it? at least three (3) business days prior to your scheduled SOAR session date, so we can re-send the email confirmation.
A series of emails from your designated advising center or department faculty advisor will be sent to you which provide the specific steps for completing your required advising process. After completing your advising process, you will be able to register for courses on the Registration Date you previously selected as part of your SOAR reservation that included both a linked Registration Date and Orientation Workshop Date.
Check your AND personal email accounts on a regular for the latest information. These messages include directions for accessing your assigned Canvas course along with any pre-work you must complete prior to registering for courses.

We understand that extenuating circumstances occur like family emergencies, transportation issues, schedule conflicts, or an illness. It's important you communicate with our staff if you miss your scheduled workshop date and need to re-schedule.

On-campus SOAR Workshops check-in starts at 8:30am with the program concluding by 2:30pm. Virtual SOAR Workshops take place from 10:00am to 12:00pm (Pacific Standard Time)
SOAR is a ºÚÁÏÍø requirement of all incoming first-semester students, and attendance and participation in the entire workshop is required.
- Students who have been away from ºÚÁÏÍø for more than two (2) years will be required to attend a SOAR workshop AND complete the due to changes to university policies and requirements during your absence/leave.
- If you have been away from the university for less than two (2) years, you MAY be exempt from attending SOAR. to request an exemption – your request will be reviewed and a decision will be made as quickly as possible.
- If you have previously attended the university and are resuming your studies, you may be required to attend SOAR. ºÚÁÏÍø Admissions determines your admission status/classification, which determines if you are exempt from or required to complete SOAR. to inquire – your inquiry will be reviewed, admissions counselors will then be consulted, and a decision will be made as quickly as possible.
SOAR workshops are for registered student-participants only. Parents/family members/supporters are encouraged participate in , which is offered each on-campus SOAR Workshop date. Visit to learn about this program along with year-round programming and the Beach Family Newsletter, which are designed to encourage family engagement and strengthen partnerships in student success.
Exception to this policy is for students requiring additional assistance. Please complete the to make any necessary arrangements at least five (5) business days prior to your scheduled workshop.
Parking on campus during your SOAR workshop is included as part of your SOAR Fee – be sure to park in the designated area inside the Pyramid Parking structure to avoid a parking citation and penalty.
All participants must park on the south end of the Pyramid Parking Structure, which is the end farthest away from the Walter Pyramid. Please follow these directions to enter the structure:
From Beach Drive...
- Turn north on to Merriam Way toward the Walter Pyramid
- Do NOT take the ramp and proceed past Lot G5
- Turn right into the first floor of the Pyramid Parking Structure
- Look for signs directing you to the designated SOAR parking location
- Park in any available space
- SOAR check-in takes place at the Beach Circle located between the College of Business and the track & field
From Atherton Street...
- Turn south on to Merriam Way past the Walter Pyramid
- Go past Lot G11 and through the first stop sign
- Turn left into the first floor of the Pyramid Parking Structure
- Look for signs directing you to the designated SOAR parking location
- Park in any available space
- SOAR check-in takes place at the Beach Circle located between the College of Business and the track & field

Course fees, payment deadlines, Payment Plan Sign-Up, and Financial Aid Disbursement information can be found on the Student Financial Services website, as well as the Tuition and Fees website. Your specific account information is listed on the Finances section of your account.
Your Beach ID Card grants you access to an array of on-campus services and privileges including the use of library services and meal plans along with access to the multiple computer labs, athletic events, and university-sponsored entertainment.
You have two options to obtain your Beach ID Card.

Student interested in on-campus housing can visit the University Housing & Residential Life website to start an application. The City of Long Beach offers a variety of housing options from apartments, condos, rooms, and houses.
University Housing & Residential Life maintains an website that allows students to search for housing vacancies based on the type of housing (apartment, condo, single room, etc.) and location.
First day of classes is Tuesday, January 20.
