Parent & Family Programs (PFP) at California State University, Long Beach is excited your student has decided to join the Beach Family. We recognize the vital role parents, family members, and supporters play in fostering your student's successful transition to life at The Beach. The next few years will be an exciting and transformative time in your student’s educational journey.

Under the New Student & Family Programs (NSFP) umbrella, Parent & Family Programs offers a range of programs and events designed to help you become an ally to your student as they find academic, social and personal success. These programs includes Parent & Family Orientation, the Beach Family Portal, Virtual Fireside Chats, and events hosted throughout the year. We aim to provide you with resources,Ìýservices, events and programs that keep families connected and informed about the university and your student's college experience.

Family Night at The Beach

We look forward to welcoming you and your family to an on-campus reception where you can mingle with members of the Beach Family while exploring art, enjoying light refreshments, and meeting with campus partners.

Registration is now closed
Space is limited to the student and up to 3 guests. Registration is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Please note that certain artwork may include nudity and mature themes. Parental discretion is advised.  Parent & Family Programs will also host a kid-friendly area during the reception that is separate from the art museum.
