About CARES
We believe that every member of our campus community plays an important role in supporting ºÚÁÏÍø students. The CARES Team exists to provide a centralized structure that helps coordinate campus-wide efforts to assist students in navigating personal, academic, and wellness-related challenges.
Through collaboration with campus departments, faculty, and staff, the CARES Team offers early outreach and connection to appropriate campus and community resources. Students who share concerns related to their personal, physical, or emotional well-being can be referred to CARES for support. Additionally, students who display behaviors that may be disruptive, or cause concern can be referred to the CARES Team that will do a team assessment to develop a plan for support.
In partnership with students, the CARES Team reviews available information to develop individualized support plans and provides ongoing case management. The team meets regularly and as needed to ensure timely and coordinated responses.
If there is an immediate safety concern, please contact UPD at 562.985.4101 or 911.
