GOALS
GCA provides a supportive environment with 3 distinct goals in mind:
1. Provide a cohesive course of action for the advancement of academic, social, and professional objectives.
2. Create opportunities to develop relationships with faculty, administration, and fellow members of the ºÚÁÏÍø community.
3. Provide members with sufficient resources and knowledge of the requirements to complete the MA of Communication Studies degree.
What does GCA offer its members?
To meet our mission, GCA offers a year-long membership with our community of graduate students. We host various activities each month, crafted to meet the specific needs of the current members and academic environment.
What can I expect if I join GCA?
You can expect monthly activities focused on academic achievement, professional development, and social engagement. This includes guest speakers such at the ºÚÁÏÍø faculty members and alumni graduate students, as well as social events to help alleviate some of the stress of graduate school. Let’s face it, we will all need a break from the rigor of an MA program!
Who can join?
We encourage everyone in the graduate cohort to be part of GCA and help build our community. This is an opportunity to enhance your graduate experience through preparing you for your future, while creating a lasting bond with your colleagues.
