Application DEadline
April 1, 2026
The Anthropology Department will begin reviewing applications following the April 1 deadline. Students will be notified of decisions by early May.
Application Process
Please submit the following materials via the :
- A completed Department of Anthropology Graduate Application Form.
- A formal statement of purpose of no more than 2 pages.
- A writing sample of a research paper or technical report that you feel is representative of your analytical/critical thinking and writing capabilities.
- Two letters of recommendation from persons well acquainted with your academic abilities or professional skills.
- Your CV.
Completed applications submitted after April 1 will be reviewed on a rolling basis through May 15 if there are still available spaces in the program. To guarantee consideration, we strongly recommend you apply by the Department’s April 1, 2026 deadline. All applicants will be notified no later than June 30 regarding their admission status.

NOTE: We are not currently accepting graduate applications in the fields of archaeology and biological / physical anthropology. Students intending to pursue an MA degree in these fields will not be accepted into the graduate program.
