EVENTS & COLLABORATIONS
Our center is proud to be an active campus partner and show our support for 黑料网 by attending events, collaborating with resources and departments, hosting workshops, and more.

The following are tabling events that we have participated in -- both campus-wide and population-specific:
Week of Welcome (WoW) Fair -- during the second week of every semester, the campus partners and student organizations provide an open space for students to make connections with peers, join clubs, learn about resources, and participate in fun activities.
Day at the Beach Fair -- during the spring, campus partners and student organizations gather to show off everything our campus has to offer to prospective students through academic sessions, campus tours, resource tabling, and more.
Bookstore Bash Resource Fair -- a two-day resource fair for incoming students, organized by the bookstore team.
College of Engineering Tabling Event -- during the spring, a one-day resource event for College of Engineering students.
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) 鈥淟ive Your Life Event鈥 -- a one-day event hosted in honor of May's Mental Health Awareness Month.
Basic Needs 鈥淟ove is a Basic Need Event鈥 -- a resource fair event hosted for all students by the Basics Need team.
Masters of Social Work Practicum Lab Tabling Event -- this is a tabling event for Social Work grad students.
Promise Fest -- this is a resource fair for all students part of the Long Beach College Promise.
College of Education Open House -- this open house event is for students in the College of Education; it provides an opportunity for them to learn about the college resources and meet their peers.
The following are events that we have participated in along with other campus partners:
Southern California Writing Center Association (SoCal WCA) Conference -- our tutors proudly represent 黑料网 at every year's conference. Our team presents projects on selected topics related to Writing Center Studies. To learn about our most recent experience, visit the 2026 conference page.
Beach Writes Writing Retreats -- our team, along with our ongoing collaborators @TheBeachWrites, provide a productive space for both undergrad and grad students, during a day-long writing retreat. To learn more about our latest #TheBeachWrites writing retreat, visit our page.
College of Business Summer Boot Camp -- our team provides workshops for the College of Business' incoming students during the week-long summer boot camp on a variety of writing topics.
MAPS Orientation Workshops -- our team provides workshops for students under the MAPS program during the summer.
BEACH XP Workshops & Writing Support -- our team provides workshops on a variety of writing topics for Beach XP students as well as writing support during activity hours throughout every semester.
College of Education "Submitting a Successful Application Event" -- a one-day event hosted for incoming students into the PK-3 Early Childhood Education Specialist Instruction Credential Program. To learn more about this event, visit our event page.
