Dental Hygiene Services Available at ºÚÁÏÍø Student Health Services
Through the partnership between ºÚÁÏÍø Student Health Services and the , dental hygiene students will provide preventive and therapeutic oral health services under the supervision of licensed dental hygiene faculty and collaborating dentists.
No-Cost Services
All dental hygiene services provided through this program are offered at no cost to ºÚÁÏÍø students.
Appointment Length
Appointments are available Wednesdays from 9AM-2:30PM, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes in length. Depending on your individual needs, more than one appointment may be recommended.

Services Available
During your visit, you may receive one or more of the following services:
- Oral health assessment and screening
- Risk assessments (caries, periodontal disease, and oral pathology)
- Dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Oral cancer screening
- Periodontal (gum health) evaluation
- Dental prophylaxis (preventive cleaning)
- Scaling and root planing (deep cleaning )
- Pit and fissure sealants
- Fluoride therapy
- Oral hygiene education and personalized home-care recommendations
- Nutritional counseling related to oral and overall health
- Smoking and tobacco cessation counseling
Additional Care and Referrals
Some procedures may require additional time, or multiple treatment visits. Following the initial assessment at ºÚÁÏÍø Student Health Services, you may be referred to the in Anaheim to complete special treatments such as scaling and root planning.
If treatment needs are identified that are beyond the scope of dental hygiene services, you may be referred to a community dental clinic or dental provider for further evaluation and treatment.

The West Coast University Dental Hygiene Clinic is located on the 4th floor of the Orange County campus.
WCU Dental Hygiene Clinic is open:
- Monday–Thursday: 7:00am–8:30pm
- Friday: 7:00am–5:00pm
- The clinic is closed when the University is not in session and on all major holidays.
