Fix-It Parking Citations
A fix-it parking citation is an issued violation for minor vehicular or documentation non-compliance under California Vehicle Code (CVC). Once the violation is fixed and verified, California Vehicle Code allows for a reduced correction fee instead of the original citation amount.
If you received a citation for failing to properly display your active, DMV-issued Disabled Person Parking Placard, you may be eligible to reduce your citation fine to a $25 administrative correction fee in accordance with the California Vehicle Code (CVC) 40226.
Eligibility Requirements
- Violation Code: H2 H-SPC W/O VIS PLACRD PRO.
- You must be the registered owner of the DMV-issued disabled placard.
- Your placard must be active at the time of receiving the citation.
- Citation corrections are accepted at any time.
How to Request a Correction
- Submit Your Documentation for Review
- Email ParkingGeneral@csulb.edu with:
- Citation number
- Full name
- Campus ID (if applicable)
- Clear scan or photo of your DMV-issued Disabled Placard
- Scan or photo of your DMV Placard Registration Slip (name on registration must match the placard owner)
- Note: Standard vehicle registration documents cannot be accepted as proof for a disabled placard.
- Email ParkingGeneral@csulb.edu with:
- Wait for Approval
- You will receive a confirmation email once your submitted documentation has been reviewed and approved.
- Note: Please do not attempt to pay the fee until you receive your approval confirmation.
- Pay the $25 Correction Fee
- Once approved, pay your $25 correction fee in person or by mail at the Cashier’s Office:
- Location: (1250 Bellflower Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90840)
- Accepted Payment Methods: Cash, debit card, or check
- Required Information: Provide the cashier with your full name, Campus ID (if applicable), and citation number.
- Once approved, pay your $25 correction fee in person or by mail at the Cashier’s Office:
- Confirm Payment
- After completing your payment with the Cashier's Office, reply to your approval email or send a brief confirmation email to ParkingGeneral@csulb.edu so we can finalize the process and clear your citation.
If you received a citation for failing to display a front and/or back license plate while parked on campus, you may be eligible to reduce your citation fine to $10 in accordance with the California Vehicle Code (CVC) 5200 and 40225.
Eligibility Requirements
- Violation Code: C3 NEED LIC PLATES -FRNT/BK
- License plates must be properly mounted to the front and back of the vehicle as required by law.
- Citation corrections are accepted at any time.
How to Request a Correction
- Attach Missing License Plate(s) and Obtain Law Enforcement Sign-Off
- Attach the missing license plate(s) to your vehicle at the required location(s). Then, have a law enforcement agency perform a visual inspection and physically sign off on your citation.

- Clear scans or photos of your law enforcement sign-off.
