CPR and AED Awareness
Presented by Bill Fitzpatrick, RN     
 Bill donates time teaching others how to save a life using CPR and an AED. Bill teaches EMT and Pharmacology at LBCC.  He is an AHA CPR instructor and has taught classes both for certification and for general knowledge such as this offered for OLLI.

CONTEMPORARY NON-FICTION BOOK CLUB    
Presented by Sonia Savoulian 

Explore thought-provoking, contemporary nonfiction books in this engaging book club for life-long learners who want to stay informed and connected to the world. In this discussion-based course, we’ll explore compelling books on politics, history, public policy, and current events—examining how these topics shape our society and daily lives.  Class meets twice (once a month). Students are expected to have read the book before each meeting.

ONLY HOPE: MY MOTHER AND THE HOLOCAUST BROUGHT TO LIGHT
Presenter: Irving Lubliner, Prof. Emeritus at SOU, math, music and OLLI teacher

Before she died in 1974, Felicia Bornstein Lubliner wrote about her internment in ghettos and concentration camps in Nazi-occupied Poland. These powerful stories were published later by her son, Irv Lubliner, professor emeritus
at Southern Oregon University. Irv will share excerpts from the book. Learn about the Holocaust through the eyes of
a survivor, as well as his own experience as a child of Holocaust survivors.
