The Department of Chemical Engineering provides students with industrially relevant computer software. The following software may be used in CHE courses and is available for students to learn:

The pursues interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research directions in Chemical Engineering. Dr. Sara Moghtadernejad studies processes and phenomena involving fluid and powders that depict phase changes and have multiple states. Her research arises from practical applications, with the aim of solving challenging and contemporary industrial issues. MFL is a result-oriented laboratory and is equipped with state-of-the-art tools to closely reproduce real-life conditions and to design various interesting experiments. Those are followed by distinct numerical and statistical analyses to verify experimental observations and to provide solutions, enhancements, and corrections.

The Polymer and Advanced Composite Laboratory specializes in developing and characterizing new lightweight materials and processes for applications in aerospace, biomedical, automotive, and other related industries. In particular, the research lab focuses on:

The , led by Dr. Ji-Hwan Kang in the Chemical Engineering department at ºÚÁÏÍø, is dedicated to advanced research in soft materials and their interfaces. The lab is equipped with sophisticated imaging and microfabrication systems, enabling precise optical measurements and detailed surface analysis. Recent enhancements include high-speed imaging and automated flow control for microfabrication processes. High-performance computing resources support the viewing and analysis of large 3D images. Additionally, the lab is well-equipped for microfluidics and soft lithography, featuring a diverse range of machinery and tools, including 3D printers, cleaning and coating equipment, laser cutters, CNC machines, and precise flow control devices. The use of advanced modeling software further enhances the lab's ability to tackle complex engineering problems, facilitating comprehensive research and the development of innovative solutions for contemporary challenges.
The Unit Operations Laboratory is used for one Environmental Engineering and two Chemical Engineering and lab courses. Students are provided with the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on lab experience that compliments the knowledge of math, science and engineering acquired in the undergraduate curriculum. We offer students a wide range of apparatus from traditional engineering systems, state-of-the-art analytical instruments and cutting-edge modern technologies.
