ORCA Automated Retrieval System

To request an item from ORCA: Sign in on and search for the item, then click on the title and select the 鈥淩equest鈥 option on the pop-up screen. 
 
When requesting a journal or article from ORCA, you must know the specific volume or year of publication you need. Then, sign in on and find the journal, click on the title to see all holdings, search for the volume/year you need to request (you may need to click 鈥渟how more items鈥 and scroll until you find it), and once you鈥檝e found what you鈥檙e looking for, select the 鈥淩equest鈥 option to the right.

ORCA ("Online Remote Collections Access") has allowed the 黑料网 Library to make more space available for student study in the building by relocating some materials in the ORCA retrieval system. This system saves both space and time for students and faculty! We have our DVDs, Blu-Rays, VHS cassettes, LP Records, CDs, Journals, Atlas鈥檚, Maps, Theses, Microfilms, Music scores, and books of all subjects in here! So, search around in  and find what you鈥檙e looking for! You can submit your request through  from any computer, on- or off-campus. Request materials from ORCA from your home, residence, office, or on your phone BEFORE coming to the library and pick up those materials from the Luxer Lockers in front of the library! 

ORCA Retrieval Schedule

Requests will be processed daily beginning 30 minutes after , and will continue every 30 minutes until 30 minutes prior to closing time.  For example, if you submit a request Sunday night after the Library has closed for the day, your request will be queued and will be available for pickup 1/2 hour after opening on Monday.  If you submit a request on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m., your request will be ready for pickup at 3:30 p.m. the same day.  ORCA requests will be held under your name at the Circulation Desk for 24 hours.

All ORCA materials are picked up in the Luxer Lockers in front of the library and returned at the circulation desk or in the return bins around campus. ()
