Vance Nguyen
Vance Nguyen is a Speech-Language Pathologist with nearly 10 years of experience in the acute care, skilled nursing, and outpatient setting evaluating and treating adults with swallowing and acquired communication disorders. He is interested in evidence-based dysphagia diagnostics, improving access to instrumental exams, language rehabilitation following stroke, and acute care mentorship. Aside from clinical work, he serves on performance improvement and stroke committees to improve hospital outcome measures.
Vance holds a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Chapman University. He is currently a supervisor to an inpatient and outpatient Speech Therapy team and is a part-time lecturer in the department of Speech-Language Pathology at California State University, Long Beach.
Outside of his professional role, Vance enjoys spending time with his cats, going on roller coasters, and reading sci-fi and horror books.
