Mandy Schenkemeyer is a Full-Time Lecturer in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies at ºÚÁÏÍø. As a practitioner, Dr. Schenkemeyer has worked in campus recreation, outdoor adventure education, adventure tourism, summer camps, wilderness therapy, and environmental education. Her background in higher education administration also includes academic advising and TRIO student support services. Dr. Schenkemeyer's research takes a critical perspective on outdoor recreation and outdoor education, examining how organizational norms and cultures shape staff experiences, belonging, and inclusion. Dr. Schenkemeyer teaches classes in the recreation major and event planning minor.
