Prof. Kamiar Alaei, MD, MPH, MS, DrPH, MSt
Dr. serves as the Chairman and Professor of global health policy at ºÚÁÏÍø, an External Evaluator at the University of Oxford and the PI of the over $10 Million federal grant to develop new interdisciplinary degree programs on Public Health Informatics and Technology (). Dr. Alaei earned five graduate (including two doctorate) degrees in medicine, health policy, epidemiology, international health, and international human rights law at prestigious universities such as Harvard and Oxford with full scholarship. He has also earned an advance certificate on Artificial Intelligent in Healthcare from MIT.
Dr. Alaei co-founded several telehealth education programs in conflict zones such as Iraq and also in Syria to help over 500 to continue their education remotely in Syria free through students’ smartphones. Dr. Alaei is currently leading over 200 physicians to . Dr. Alaei has been featured and interviewed by major academic journals such as , , and . In recognition of his work, Dr. Alaei has received numerous awards including , some of the previous awardees include seven U.S. Presidents, and Nobel Prize laureates. He and his brother Arash co-founded the first ‘ for three target groups in Iran (drug users, HIV patients, and STD cases), documented by the World Health Organization as a ‘Best Practice Model’. Dr. Alaei has been featured and interviewed by major academic journals such as Nature, Science, and The Lancet. In recognition of his work, Dr. Alaei has received numerous awards including the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, some of the previous awardees include seven U.S. Presidents, and Nobel Prize laureates.
