Matthew Lee

Matthew Lee is a PhD-trained nurse-designer who has been working at the intersection of health and technology for over a decade. A scholar on network effects, he is passionate about using VR/AR and other digital technologies to impact health behaviors - he's sometimes been called a real-world "Pokémon Prof" for his work examining Pokémon GO and its impact on public well-being during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Alongside his role as a lecturer in the Department of Health Care Management at Cal State Long Beach, he serves as Chair of Serious Games for the International Game Developers Association, and as a Lead Generative AI Analyst at NVIDIA, where he works to develop and train AI models for cutting-edge applications.

He holds a Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, a BA in Theatre from the University of Southern California, and certifications in Risk Management, Project Management, Cybersecurity and AI.
