Michael Williams, Director of School of Nursing, Volunteerism Recognized for ONCC
Congratulations to our own Dr. Michael L. Williams, PhD, RN, CCRN, CNE Director of the ºÚÁÏÍø School of Nursing, who was recognized as an Outstanding Volunteer on behalf of the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation and ONCC Board of Directors, for his service as a director on the ONCC Board of Directors during the 2024-2025 program year.
ONCC volunteers contributed to more than 300 hours of professional expertise, leadership, and governance work for the organization over the last year, according to a press release. "Dr. Williams' contributions to the success of the ONCC Board of Directors have been invaluable," wrote Tony Ellis, ONCC Executive Director. "Michael's unique contributions as a critical care nurse and academic leader in the education of nurses have helped shape ONCC's strategy and program enhancements beyond an oncology-only focus. Additionally, he served as a member of the Finance Subcommittee -- enhancing our financial planning and oversight with his financial acumen and insights on trends impacting healthcare and nursing."
