AI Awareness and Ethics

Open to all ºÚÁÏÍø students, faculty, and staff, this micro-credential course will help you understand what AI is, how to use tools like chatbots effectively, and how to navigate the ethical questions they raise. It will provide you with the awareness and skills needed to engage responsibly with generative artificial intelligence in academic and professional settings.

Earn your digital credential by completing activities in all three (3) modules, including the final scenario-based ethics assessment:

  • Module 1: Understand different types of AI and how they work
  • Module 2: Practice using Generative AI chatbots with clear prompts and critical evaluation
  • Module 3: Explore ethical AI use from student, faculty, and staff perspectives

  1. After clicking the self-enroll link above, you may be prompted to log into your Once logged in, click the ‘Enroll in Course’ button.
  2. Once you are successfully enrolled, you will see two buttons: "Go to your Dashboard" or "Go to the Course." The course will remain on your Canvas account as a reference for whenever you need it.
