The Miser

Harpagon loves one thing: money. His children have other plans. Determined to protect every penny, the spectacularly stingy patriarch schemes to marry his son and daughter into profitable (and deeply unwanted) matches, while reserving his son’s true love for himself. Secret romances, slippery servants, mistaken identities, and one very precious cashbox ignite a family rebellion where affection is expensive and everyone has an angle. Told in buoyant rhyming verse, The Miser is a fast, ferocious comedy about greed, love, and the price of getting your way. When money rules the household, can anyone afford a happy ending?
