Chris Bange
Christopher Bange (he/him) is a magician, clown, and actor from the Pacific Northwest. He received his BA in Theater from Western Washington University and then went on to study clown and other physical theater forms at Dell’arte: International School of Physical Theater in Northern California. Most recently he obtained his MFA in Acting and Acting Pedagogy from Cal State Long Beach. Chris has a professional performance career spanning the last 25 years or so which includes acting, creating and producing/touring his own plays, working as a professional actor, and doing magic nationally and internationally. Chris has created original plays such as: Is This Your Duck?, The Red Nose, Have You Seen My Dog?, The Case of the Vanishing Crown Jewel: A Ziplock Holmes Mystery, The Excursionist 1 and 2, The Medicine Show, More Bange for Your Buck!, The Fat Guy Show, Breaking Bange, Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Handsome Cab Killer, Not this Time!, and most recently Super Funtimes Magic! Since obtaining his MFA Chris has been teaching Acting, Mask work, Mime, Clown and Magic at Cal State Long Beach and the University of Southern California. Last summer Chris had the honor of receiving the Award of Merit in Stage Magic from the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Chris also received the Karrell Fox Comedy Magic Award, which the International Brotherhood of Magicians had not granted to a magician for 18 years.
