Elaine Bernal, a lecturer in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Cal State Long Beach, spoke with about the fruity chemical odor lingering after the recent Garden Grove emergency involving a tank of methyl methacrylate. Bernal explained that the smell will likely persist until the chemical fully solidifies.
