Reflecting on a Year of Impact & Building What's Next
The Advisory Board gathered this summer to reflect on lessons learned, celebrate accomplishments, and begin charting the path forward. Through the dedication of its board members, SCPD continued to advance its mission of preparing College of Business (COB) students for meaningful careers and lifelong success. As discussions turned toward the future, the Advisory Board embraced its retreat theme, Building What's Next. Together, board members explored priorities for the coming year to ensure SCPD remains a catalyst for student success within the COB.
The launch of the academic year also brought together SCPD supporters, alumni, and industry partners for the & Mentor Kick-Off in the evening on Thursday, August 13, 2026, providing mentors with an opportunity to learn what to expect during the year ahead. Participants gained insights into the mentorship journey, explored strategies for effectively supporting their student mentees, and learned more about the many ways they can contribute to the continued success of SCPD and the COB.
As a new academic year begins, SCPD remains focused on Building What's Next and is incredibly grateful to the board members, mentors, supporters, alumni, and industry partners who contribute to its success. Together, we are helping create transformative opportunities and empowering the next generation of business leaders.
