After 28 years of dedicated service to the Transit industry, in 2019, Art Ida retired from Culver City. He held roles with Long Beach Transit, Foothill Transit, and the last 18 years of service were with Culver City, as Deputy Director, then as Director and General Manager for the Transportation Department. Responsibilities included the City’s Public Transportation System, City Equipment Maintenance, and Air Quality programs. As a visionary leader, he served as Chair of the Los Angeles County Municipal Operators Association, Vice Chair of Access Services, and Chair of the California Transit Indemnity Pool. Art holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a master’s degree in Public Administration from ºÚÁÏÍø.
