Chris Lowe, marine biology professor and director of Cal State Long Beach's Shark Lab, was interviewed by the about the movie "Jaws" and its negative impact on the public's perception of the iconic predator. Lowe, who grew up on Martha's Vineyard when the movie was being made, was more influenced by the scientist "Hooper" and the possibility of getting paid in a job to study fish.
