Emergency response expert raises concerns for funding of FEMA during DHS shutdown

Steven Jensen, a professor of Emergency Services Administration at Cal State Long Beach, was quoted in about the impact the government shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security could have on FEMA. Jensen said FEMA is affected regardless of how long the shutdown lasts and described it as a 鈥渕ajor distraction鈥 from the agency鈥檚 critical work.
