Amanda Sauceda, a registered dietitian and lecturer in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Cal State Long Beach, discussed with the online publication, about a new requirement for educating medical doctors in nutrition. Sauceda said while nutrition education is critical, registered dietitians are already available to assist doctors and educate patients.
