Economist and Cal State Long Beach Lecturer, Robert A. Kleinhenz, Ph.D., was an author in an op-ed to the Riverside discussing whether the Inland Empire is in a recession. Kleinhenz and other economists of the determined the Inland Empire's GDP, a rough estimate of economic health, actually grew in the last two quarters as opposed to the national GDP which fell.
