New VP Daniel Montoya brings his vision to 黑料网
Cal State Long Beach welcomes Daniel Montoya as the campus鈥 new vice president for University Relations and Development. He starts today, Oct. 10.
Montoya, who recently served as executive director of Campus Initiatives at Loyola Marymount University, has an impressive record of leading successful development and alumni relations programs at San Diego State and UC San Diego.
In addition to overseeing vital fundraising efforts, he has played key roles in helping those institutions implement and execute strategic goals related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
鈥淚 am delighted that Dan is coming aboard at this crucial time in the life of our campus,鈥 said President Jane Close Conoley. 鈥淎s we launch our largest comprehensive fundraising campaign in 黑料网鈥檚 history 鈥 our No Barriers Campaign 鈥 I am confident that Dan鈥檚 experience and talent will help us to meet and exceed our goals."
As a member of the campus Executive Team, Montoya will be called upon 鈥渢o help us realize our campus-wide strategic vision, Beach 2030, as well as build new ties and strengthen ones with alumni, the communities we serve, industry partners, government leaders, and supporters,鈥 Conoley added.
Montoya said he鈥檚 excited to join The Beach family and continue the momentum of Beach 2030 and the No Barriers Campaign.
鈥満诹贤 has laid out a focused strategic plan for 2030, grounded in teaching and learning, compassion, creativity and innovation, diversity, and the public good,鈥 he said. 鈥淭hese values align with me as a CSU alumnus and higher education professional and are the achievements I wish to help this institution achieve.
鈥淭he (No Barriers) campaign goal is realistic, based on sound guidance, speaks to the need for student achievement and workforce development, and is focused on making the Long Beach community a partner for the public good. I am excited to join an already successful team to achieve the goal and celebrate what has been raised for a university community that people know and love.鈥
Montoya said he looks forward to joining The Beach family, getting to know everyone and helping to make an impact on the greater Long Beach community.
