Zoe Engstrom

Zoe Bryan Engstrom, Ed.D., is a Consumer Affairs lecturer in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Cal State Long Beach.

Her experience encompasses more than 22 years at the university researching, teaching, and studying financial influences on consumers, consumer rights and responsibilities, consumer debt, resolving fraudulent transaction disputes, consumer motivation, consumer behavior, and financial wellness. Dr. Engstrom specializes in educating university students in personal finance and facilitates financial goal-setting to build a lifelong healthy relationship with money. She is the author of Introduction to Family and Consumer Sciences (Kendall Hunt, 2018), a textbook designed to launch students into the consumer marketplace and help them use personal values and goals to manage consumer and financial behavior.

Engstrom holds a Doctor of Education from the University of Southern California, a master’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, and a bachelor’s degree from Cal State Long Beach.
