Rashida Crutchfield

Rashida Crutchfield, Ed.D., is a professor in the School of Social Work and executive director of the at Cal State Long Beach.

Crutchfield’s areas of practice and research focus on student homelessness in higher education, students’ basic needs security, and social work community practice. Dr. Crutchfield led Phase I of the California State University Office of the Chancellor’s study on food and housing security and was co-principal investigator for Phases II and III of the same study.

Crutchfield holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Cal State, Long Beach, and a Master of Arts from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis.
