Frequently Asked Questions
Academic advising is meant to guide students through their majors or programs to successful completion. Advisors are trained to help students with admission/major/completion requirements, registration issues, programmatic questions, program issues and/or concerns (i.e. issues with faculty, peers, admin, community partners). Advisors also help with personal and professional development in relation to the student’s goals
Drop-in advising is meant for quick and more general questions that do not require more than 15 minutes. For example, program admission questions, deadlines, general program information, registration holds, resource(s) questions.
