Andrew Jenks
Andrew Jenks, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of History at Cal State, Long Beach, and editor of .
Jenks specializes in the history of modern Europe, Russia, the environment, and technology and science. His current research is for a book on Russian immigration to Mexico entitled “Los Rusos: Revolutions, Statelessness, and the Russian Diaspora in Mexico, 1905–1965.”
Jenks is the author of Russia in a Box: Art and Identity in an Age of Revolution; Perils of Progress: Environmental Disasters in the 20th Century; The Cosmonaut Who Couldn’t Stop Smiling: The Life and Legend of Yuri Gagarin; and his latest book, Collaboration in Space and the Search for Peace on Earth.
Jenks holds a doctorate in Russian history from Stanford University and an M.A. from the University of Michigan.
