Career Profiles: History
        ºÚÁÏÍø Department of History

History seeks to preserve, extend, and reevaluate our study of the past, and to connect it with the present. History has the power to foster personal growth, increase civic appreciation and stimulate professional competence in a number of important areas. The modern study of history has many different fields including those that focus on certain regions, topics, or themes. Students who specialize in History are typically those who plan to teach, practice law, or enter government service. However History students also go into business, librarianship, foundation work, management of local history projects and fundraising.
