A little rain cloud falls in love, and nothing will ever be the same. In this wildly imaginative riff on The Little Mermaid, fairy tale meets existential crisis in a swirl of storytelling, sea witches, and heartbreak. A narrator struggles to keep control as his characters—and maybe his past lovers—take over the stage. Whimsical, weird, and unexpectedly moving, Sometimes the Rain, Sometimes the Sea dives deep into the messy beauty of unrequited love and the stories we tell to survive it.
